Fact about your favorite drink!

If you guys are like me, you need some coffee to kind of sorta function in the morning especially now that the kids are going back to school…

 

 

Fat, Calories and Nutrients of BLACK COFFEE

An 8-ounce cup of black coffee contains just 2 calories and 0 grams of fat. The same cup of coffee contains tiny doses of calcium for strong bones and potassium to keep your heart beat regular. Some compounds in coffee might help prevent cancer (esp colon, breast and rectal cancer)

The andioxidants in a cup of black coffee reduce inflammation levels in your body which can reduce the risk for heart attack.

You can safely consume between 200 and 300 milligrams of caffeine (present in your coffee).

Drinking black coffee in moderation is actually good for your health but it is not the subject of this post.

Lots of people add tons of stuff to their cup of coffee (not sure why, if you don’t like the taste then drink tea lol) like sugar and all sorts of flavored creamers.

I am not going to mention all the crap that they use to make that stuff (remember that if it does not need refrigeration, it is worst than anything else) but I am going to calculate how many unnecessary calories you ingest.

Let’s say you drink 2 cups of coffee with 1 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of French Vanilla regular creamer in the morning, 1 cup (prepared the same) after lunch and 1 cup in the afternoon (prepared the same) for a picker upper.

TOTAL 4 CUPS PER DAY

Calories count:

  • Coffee 2 calories per cup …Day total 16 calories
  • 1 tbsp of white sugar 9 calories…Day total 36 calories
  • 1 tbsp of French Vanilla (coffee mate) 35 calories…Day total 280 calories
  • Day total 332 calories
  • Weekly total 2324 calories
  • Monthly total 69720 calories
  • Yearly total 836640 calories

Calories count for black coffee:

  • 16 calories per day
  • 112 calories per week
  • 448 calories per month
  • 5376 calories per year

Difference in calorie intake: 831 264 calories extra calories per year!

 

There is 3500 calories in a pound so based on that you INGESTED 238 POUNDS A YEAR OR 19.83 POUNDS PER MONTHS JUST BY PUTTING CREAM AND SUGAR COMPARE TO 1.5 POUNDS IF YOU ONLY CONSUME BLACK COFFEE….

 

Food for thoughts, getting used to a new habit takes about two weeks so get going now, you will be happy you did!

And don’t get me started on these 25 dollars cups of coffee…STAY AWAY!
